1. Who we are

CelestialKinThreads is operated by John Little, 6514 Dick Pond Rd #1096, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina 29588-9277, United States. We are responsible for the information described in this policy.

2. What we collect

When you place an order:

Name and email address
Birth date, birth time (and whether the time is known or unknown), and the city and country of birth
For couples portraits, the same birth details for the second person
Shipping address and phone number (physical orders only)
Payment confirmation — we never see or store your full card number

When you use the free compatibility tool:

The first names you enter for the two people. A first name only — it is shown on the result and printed on the shareable card, and nothing checks whether it is anyone's real name.
Birth date, birth time if you give one (and whether the time is known or unknown), and the city and state or country of birth — for both people
If — and only if — you press share, the reading is saved under a random web link so that the link you send keeps working. Run a reading and close the page, and nothing about it is saved at all. The link is not guessable, and nobody has it but the people you send it to. See Section 5 for what is in it and how long it lasts.
Nothing else. No account, no email address, no payment details, and no cookies are set.

Automatically:

Standard server logs, which may include IP address and request timestamps
Daily totals for the free compatibility tool — how many people opened the page, ran a reading, shared one, opened a shared reading, or clicked through to a product. Counts only. No visitor is identified, and no cookie is used.

3. Why we use it

To calculate your chart and write your reading — to provide the product you purchased.
To run the free compatibility tool — to draw the two charts and describe what is between them, at your request.
To let you share a free reading — when you press share, so that the link you send opens the reading itself rather than a blank page.
To deliver your files or ship your print — to fulfil your order.
To keep order and tax records — required by law.
To answer your support questions — to help you.

We do not sell your personal information, we do not send marketing email, and we do not use your birth details for advertising or profiling. The free compatibility tool does not ask for an email address at all.

4. Who we share it with

We use the following service providers. Each receives only what it needs.

Shopify — storefront, checkout, payments and order records. Receives: name, email, billing and shipping address, order details.
Railway — hosting for our chart generation service and the free compatibility tool, and the database that holds saved free readings. Receives: the birth details submitted with your order, or entered in the free tool.
Astrologer API (via RapidAPI) — astronomical calculation of your chart. Receives: birth date, birth time, and the coordinates of your birth place.
Anthropic — AI-assisted drafting of your written interpretation. Receives: your calculated chart positions, and your name, which the reading uses to address you directly. For a gift portrait, the giver's name as well, so the dedication can be written. Not your email. The free compatibility tool does not use this service.
OpenStreetMap (Nominatim) — converting your birth place into map coordinates. Receives: the birth city name only. Not your name, email, or birth date.
Artelo — printing and shipping of physical pieces. Receives: name, shipping address, phone number, and the artwork file.
Resend — sending order confirmations and your files. Receives: name and email address.
Google Fonts — the typefaces our pages are set in. Your browser requests them from Google's servers, so Google receives your IP address and which page you are on. It receives no birth details, no name, and nothing you type. This applies to our pages generally, not only the free tool.

A free reading you share is readable by anyone you send the link to, and by anyone they pass it on to. Sharing is your decision, not ours — we never send it anywhere.

5. How long we keep it

Order records (name, email, address, order details, and the order notifications we receive by email) — 7 years, as required for tax and accounting.
Birth details, whether submitted with an order or entered in the free compatibility tool — not stored in any database. They are used to generate your reading and then discarded. They appear in our hosting provider's request logs, which are deleted automatically within 30 days.
Free readings you share — a reading is saved only when you press share, and then for 30 days, so that the link you sent keeps working. A reading you do not share is never written down anywhere. A saved reading holds the two first names, the archetype and its line, the number of connections, the three findings, and the signs named on the page. It does not hold birth dates, birth times, birth places, coordinates or any calculated chart position — nothing in a saved reading can rebuild a chart. After 30 days the link stops working.
The shareable card — the picture you send, drawn from that same reading. It carries only the two first names, the archetype and the number of connections.
Free tool totals — the daily counts described in Section 2 are kept indefinitely. They contain nothing personal and cannot be traced to anyone.
Generated files (chart images, reading text) — the temporary working files created while your portrait is being built are deleted as soon as it is produced. The finished artwork is held on our server for up to 7 days so that it can be delivered to you and, for a physical order, collected by our print partner. It is then deleted automatically, and the private delivery link expires on the same schedule.
Server logs — deleted automatically within 30 days.

You may ask us to delete your birth details once your order is complete. We will do so, apart from the order and tax records we are legally required to keep.

6. Your rights

You have the right to:

Know what personal information we collect and what we use it for
Request a copy of the information we hold about you
Ask us to correct anything inaccurate
Ask us to delete your information
Not be treated differently for exercising any of these rights

The free compatibility tool holds no name, no email address and no account, so there is normally nothing there to look you up by, and a reading you did not share was never saved in the first place. The one thing it can hold is a reading you shared, under its random link. If you want one removed before its 30 days are up, send us that link and we will delete it.

To exercise any of these, email hello@celestialkinthreads.com. We will respond within 45 days.

We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law.

7. Children

Our products and the free compatibility tool are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact hello@celestialkinthreads.com and we will delete it.

8. Security

We use HTTPS across our site, and access to customer data is limited to those who need it to fulfil your order. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

9. Our store platform

This store is hosted by Shopify, which collects and processes personal information about your access to and use of the store in order to provide it to us. Information you submit may be transmitted to and stored by Shopify and its own service providers, which may be located in countries other than where you live.
